Finca Aeiroá (1939) – O Barco de Valdeorras – Pure slate soils intermixed with broken quartz, northern orientation – three field blend parcels planted adjacent to each other, primarily Godello with intermixed planting of indigenous red varieties. Northern orientation; Finca Porto Mourisco (1962) – Petín – Sandy granitic soils resulting of the decomposition of the mother rock, northern orientation. Northern orientation.

Viticulture

Traditional dry farmed viticulture. Organic Gobelet trained vines. Cultivated completely by hand.

Soils

Primarily slate soils intermixed with small quantities quartz.

Climate

Mediterranean climate with an Atlantic influence. Very cold winters and very warm hot summers.

Winemaking

The grapes are hand-harvested and stored in small baskets. The wine is fermented with indigenous yeast in French oak puncheons and demi-muids (500-600 L barrels, respectively.)

Aging
